Há um ponto de partida, o véu negro sobre o suporte, onde nasce a imagem criando camadas de negros de densidades diferentes. Negro=preto, Luminosidade=branco. A intervenção no suporte é feita a partir da imagem que o manto negro me devolve. É preciso corrigir, voltar atrás, de saturação do fazer e refazer para se obter a imagem. Este processo implica: a escolha do suporte, a dimensão, a preparação, absorvente ou lisa, superfície virgem, com marcas ou previamente utilizadas; a sedimentação da cor; a pincelada; o excesso ou a ausência de tinta; a transparência, e/ou opacidade a ação do tempo, dos rastos deixados pelo processo de construção. Todas estas intervenções deixam vestígios que no seu conjunto constroem a imagem.
Apesar do resultado final ao olhar do observador, o relevante é o processo de construção que me leva a ver-manter visíveis as várias experiências que precedem a imagem.
A primeira camada é negra e tem um tempo de secagem, a posição do suporte faz com que esta mancha nunca seja uniforme criando zonas de densidade variável. Um risco, uma mancha ou outro elemento que desbloqueia a construção da imagem a partir da primeira camada. Este acontecimento condiciona a forma como se constrói a segunda camada de cor e a organização da composição. Por vezes este primeiro acaso é velado com um plano de cor, noutros casos é este o elemento central da construção da composição.

Experiences of doing
There is a starting point, the black veil on the support, where the image is born, creating layers of black of different densities. Black=black, Luminosity=white. The intervention on the support is based on the image that the black cloak gives me back. It is necessary to correct, to go back, to saturate and redo in order to obtain the image. This process involves: the choice of support, the size, the preparation, absorbent or smooth, virgin surface, with marks or previously used; the sedimentation of colour; the brushstroke; the excess or absence of paint; transparency, and/or opacity, the action of time, the traces left by the construction process. All these interventions leave traces that together build up the image.
Despite the final result to the eye of the beholder, what is relevant is the construction process that leads me to see and keep visible the various experiences that precede the image.
The first layer is black and has a drying time. The position of the support means that this stain is never uniform, creating areas of varying density. A scratch, a stain or another element that unblocks the construction of the image from the first layer. This event determines how the second layer of colour is constructed and how the composition is organised. Sometimes this first chance is veiled with a plane of colour, in other cases this is the central element in the construction of the composition.
