Evandro Soares, brasileiro, guiado pela intuição apropria-se do seu ofício do trabalho do metal, aprendido desde muito cedo, e apresenta-se na arte contemporânea com um projecto multidisciplinar, original, que inclui o desenho, escultura e agora a fotografia intervencionada com finas estruturas em metal.
A linha é a base de todo o seu trabalho artístico e permite-lhe construir espaços arquitectónicos imaginários com muita subtileza sobre um plano branco.
O artista com a sua experiência na execução do metal, através da linha e das estruturas geométricas alterna espaços bidimensionais e tridimensionais construindo arquitecturas frágeis. A sombra projectada assume o papel de uma nova tridimensionalidade criando uma ilusão que dá ao seu trabalho uma nova leitura e dimensão.
O grande motivo da obra de Evandro Soares é o espaço que surpreende pela inteligência plástica das estruturas de pequenos espaços e de escadas que constroem mundos subjectivos.
Na fotografia o artista procura uma construção inexistente e cria uma arquitectura sobre a arquitectura da imagem impressa construindo algo que sente ser inexplicável.
Apreende-se no seu trabalho a intenção de pureza de linhas, perfeccionismo e uma simplicidade na construção do espaço de forma a obter um novo espaço onde se projecta a sombra.
FRAGILE ARCHITECTURES
Evandro Soares, from Brazil, guided by intuition, appropriates his craft of metal working, learnt from an early age, and presents himself in contemporary art with an original multidisciplinary project that includes drawing, sculpture and now photography intervened with fine metal structures.
The line is the basis of all his artistic work and allows him to build imaginary architectural spaces with great subtlety on a white plane.
The artist, with his experience in metalwork, uses line and geometric structures to alternate two-dimensional and three-dimensional spaces, building fragile architectures. The projected shadow takes on the role of a new three-dimensionality, creating an illusion that gives his work a new reading and dimension.
The great motif of Evandro Soares' work is space, which surprises through the plastic intelligence of the structures of small spaces and staircases that build subjective worlds.
In photography, the artist searches for a non-existent construction and creates an architecture on top of the architecture of the printed image, building something that he feels is inexplicable.
One can see in his work the intention of purity of line, perfectionism and a simplicity in the construction of space in order to obtain a new space where the shadow is projected.
